A day in the life….

A day in the life….

I decided to pick lemons and prune quince trees today, but the overgrown orchard also benefitted from my motivation in secateuring the thick weed between trees by hand – 3 rows down, 5 to go. I’m sure there are tools to do this (no, I cannot mow over the irrigation line), but right now I’m clueless. Google is helping!

Having recently been left to manage 20 acres alone, I have been overwhelmed at the thought of such things that I know nothing about. A beautiful person in my life reminded me of my drive and passion. Additionally, one of my favourite TED talkers, Brené Brown, talks about the power of vulnerability, demonstrating that it takes true strength and courage to allow yourself to be vulnerable, identifying the best course of action is to show up, face fear and move forward. Makes sense!

As this vision of a factory and tourism venture on the farm was all mine, I need to step up and take control. So, to paraphrase another beautiful friend, it’s time for me to ‘get shit done’!
