Easter in the Yarra Valley – YVGF is the pick of the bunch

Riding down the Warburton Highway, you’d be forgiven for thinking you were being treated to a show.

There we were, poking our heads out from behind the bushes, chewing on Easter eggs, and having a break from stirring our pots of small-batch gourmet relishes, jams and other yummy stuff!

It was just like ‘who stole the cookie’….

And just quietly, Deb, Jacqui, Bec and Ciara looked kinda cute in their bunny ears!

Thank you for helping us to succeed

We want to take the opportunity to wish all of our customers, distributors, fans, families and everyone else in the universe a Happy Easter and holiday season throughout April.

You may or may not realise that Yarra Valley Gourmet Foods was originally fashioned on the concept of following the style of the Country Women’s Association when our original cordials and jams were being brewed in a home-based kitchen in the late 1990’s.  Since that time, we’ve spent more than 20 years creating what now stands at 64 products under our very own banner.  And then there are the dozens of contract manufacturing clients we look after as well.  And we couldn’t have done it without your incredible support.

From it’s modest beginnings, at Yarra Valley Gourmet Foods, we’re incredibly proud of how much the business has grown.

Jacqui Harvey, Managing Director and Owner of the business, is knee-deep in extending the business’ foothold within the food manufacturing industry, and the process of expanding the current factory and warehouse on our Seville farmland location.

“More and more, we’re creating our own sustainable future, growing greater quantities of fresh produce, helping other local/regional farmers by using their beautiful fruits and vegetables in our cook-ups, and always developing new ways to value-add to local tourism and Yarra Valley Food experiences.  We feel that the cornerstone to our secret of success is founded on living local, loving our locals, employing our locals, and planting seeds for tomorrow in our own backyard.  Our new factory expansion and the evolution of our gallery, cooking school and links to our Indigenous community is super-exciting.  Watch this space!

We want the rest of the world to continue to come to know us as a brand renowned for quality, taste and freshness – and that they’ll tell others where to find us.  Natural word-of-mouth (and the odd bit of marketing) is certainly a core element of our growth.  But mostly – it’s our food!

We’re already selling into Singapore, Hong Kong and the UAE.

It’s exciting.

It’s challenging – and most of all my team are a family of dedicated individuals who share my vision.

I’m so incredibly grateful.”

Aussie-made & oh so simple

At YVGF, we’re focussed on Australian-made, local produce.

It’s simple food with exceptional taste.  Our beautiful tomatoes are grow in our very own, custom-built hot house, our specialist staff are the best in the biz, and just like a beanstalk we’re reaching for the sky.

Wherever possible, it’s all natural, we’re embedded in developing and contributing to our community spirit – and we reckon our gourmet Jams, Salad Dressings, Hot Sauces, Chilli Sauces, Mustards, Mayonnaises, Pickles, Relishes, Chutneys, Jellies, Cordials and contract manufacturing client products are at the top of their game.
